JOKE LANZ
Joke Lanz was born in Basel in 1965 and lives in Berlin since the late 90’s. He is a pioneer of the electronic Independent scene and crossover artist whose work spans improvised and experimental music, noise and turntablism, performance art and musique concrète.
He regularly performs with his band Sudden Infant or in various combinations throughout the improv and noise scene or as solo artist with voice and electronics. He’s a member of the internationally renowned Schimpfluch Gruppe alongside of Rudolf Eb.er and Dave Phillips.
In his brand new solo program he will present compositions from his new studio album “Zungsang” (Force Majeure), a rework of his 2021 cassette on Vice de Forme. A unique blend of physical sound poetry and epileptic noise bursts, created with contact microphones, voices, electronics and rhythms. Major themes of his intense musical universe are childhood experiences, physical eruptions, psycho mechanisms and absurdities of human destiny.

SIGTRYGGUR BERG SIGMARSSON
Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson is internationally recognized both for his energetic live performances — often blending the absurd and banal with elements of body and voice improvisation — and his visual artwork, which explores themes of order and chaos through abstracted representations of everyday objects. He is a long-time member of the experimental band Stilluppsteypa, has worked with the group Evil Madness, and also collaborates with numerous other artists in sound, visual, and performance art.
The discography includes solo releases and collaborations on labels such as Trente Oiseaux, ERS, Helen Scarsdale, Ultra Eczema, and many others.
His approach to art and music has been described as a continuous, compulsive search for meaning, often trying to make sense and direction out of creative impulse. He has lived and worked in Reykjavik and Hannover, with his exhibitions and performances taking place across various international venues.
